GloryBound's Story

Over 23 years ago, current group members Ken Wring and Lorie Arnold began singing together with Ken's brother-in-law Brad Ditter. They were known as the Eastlake Trio at that time. In 1995 Gary Cooper and his wife began attending the same church as them and soon after joined the group as bass vocalist.  Upon Brad's relocation to Southern Indiana, our buddy Terry Keelen joined the group as tenor vocalist. Another very important member of our group was steel guitar player extrordinare, Butch Bennett, playing for us for many years.  Unfortunately, Butch went home to be with the Lord a few years ago, and we all miss him tremendously.  It's hard to hear a steel guitar playing on a record and not think about Butch.  He was a true friend to us all.  About 7 years ago Terry left us and Eric Worthington became the latest addition to the group, replacing Terry.  The group has remained the same since that time, but the name has changed.  After going from the Eastlake Trio to the Eastlake Vocal Band, we decided to make a change to the name we now are known by: GloryBound.  And that's what we all are: GloryBound!!

Even though through the years the group has changed its name and seen some faces come and go, its purpose has remained the same, singing songs about God's love and amazing grace across northwest Indiana and beyond.  As one of our songs says, we're gonna "sing 'til we die"!!
